Another part of my work is revising or checking other people's translations. It's a useful part of the translation process, done as a part of quality assurance in order to ensure that all work is of the highest standard.

Of course my own work is revised by other translators, too. We have a tendency to be very critical of one another's work, so it's really very unusual when a reviser doesn't make any changes. That's why I'm including this unsolicited comment from a highly reputable UK translation company about my translation of a holiday brochure:

Dear Jane,

I thought you might be interested in the reviser's feedback regarding the above: "I do not have any proposed changes - in my view, these files are perfectly good as they stand."

Coming from a reviser, that's rare praise indeed!
